Accounting Policies [Abstract]
Recent Accounting Pronouncements Recent Accounting PronouncementsRecently Issued Accounting Standards and DisclosuresIn June 2016, the FASB issued ASU 2016-13, Financial Instruments - Credit Losses (Topic 326): Measurement of Credit Losses on Financial Instruments (“ASU 2016-13”). ASU 2016-13 replaces the existing incurred loss impairment model with an expected loss model which requires the use of forward-looking information to calculate credit loss estimates. The change will result in earlier recognition of credit losses. The Company adopted ASU 2016-13 effective January 1, 2020 utilizing a modified retrospective transition method. Adoption of the new standard resulted in the recording of additional allowance for credit losses of $1.1 million and a corresponding impact to retained earnings and deferred tax assets. The adoption also required changes to the Company's process of estimating expected credit losses on trade receivables and customer contract assets.
