Related-Party Transactions	13. Related-Party Transactions The Company’s related parties include MCC and Blue Horse Labs, Inc. (“BHL”). BHL is deemed a related party of the Company because MCC, the Company’s controlling stockholder, and BHL have some common officers and directors. Under a license agreement executed in 2003 and amended in 2009, BHL receives a single-digit royalty from the Company when revenue has been collected on product sales or for license payments from third parties that involve certain intellectual property developed under research funding from BHL. Royalty fees due to BHL were $31,000 and $30,000 as of September 30, 2017 and December 31, 2016, respectively, and are included in the Condensed Consolidated Balance Sheets as amounts due to related parties.
