Supplement dated June 21, 2022 to the fund’s currently effective Summary Prospectuses,
Statutory Prospectus and Statement of Additional Information (SAI)

This supplement provides new and additional information beyond that contained in the Summary Prospectuses, Statutory Prospectus and SAI and should be read in conjunction with the Summary Prospectuses, Statutory Prospectus and SAI.

At a meeting held on June 8, 2022, the Board of Trustees of the Trust approved the reduction of the funds management fees. These changes, which are summarized below, will be effective on July 1, 2022.

Effective July 1, 2022, Schwab Asset Management is entitled to receive a fee from each fund, payable monthly, for its advisory and administrative services to each fund. As compensation for these services, Schwab Asset Management receives a management fee from each fund, expressed as a percentage of each fund’s average daily net assets.
