Potential dilutive securities include dilutive common shares from share-based awards attributable to the assumed exercise of vested restricted stock units using the treasury stock method. Under the treasury stock method, potential common shares outstanding are not included in the computation of diluted net income per share if their effect is anti-dilutive.

Anti-dilutive potential shares from share-based awards are excluded from the calculation of diluted earnings per share if either their exercise price exceeded the average market price during the period or the share-based awards were determined to be anti-dilutive based on applying the treasury stock method. During the year ended December 31, 2021, 2020 and 2019 the Company had 3,955, 2,095,135 and 118,545 potential shares from share-based awards that are anti-dilutive, respectively. Anti-dilutive potential shares from share-based awards are excluded from the calculation of diluted loss per share for the years ended December 31, 2020 and 2019 due to the net losses reported in these periods.
