Nominee for President of Kookmin Bank

On July 26, 2010, KB Financial Group Inc. (“KB Financial Group”) disclosed that
its nominating committee for President and CEO of subsidiaries had decided to
recommend Mr. Byong Deok Min, a senior executive vice president of Kookmin Bank
(a wholly-owned subsidiary of KB Financial Group), as nominee for President of
Kookmin Bank.

The nomination for the position of President of Kookmin Bank is subject to
shareholder approval at the upcoming general meeting of shareholders of Kookmin
Bank.
