Response to Inquiry relating to Press Reports

In response to an official inquiry from the Korea Exchange on press reports regarding potential plans by KB Financial Group Inc. (“KB Financial Group”) to acquire LIG Insurance Co. Ltd. (“LIG Insurance”), on January 15, 2014, KB Financial Group disclosed that, while it has been reviewing possible mergers with or acquisitions of non-banking businesses as part of its business diversification strategy, it has not pursued in a specific manner an acquisition of LIG Insurance as of such date.

KB Financial Group expects to make further disclosures in the event any decisions are made regarding the above.
