Response to Inquiry relating to Press Reports

In response to an official inquiry from the Korea Exchange on press reports regarding alleged plans by Kookmin Bank, a wholly-owned subsidiary of KB Financial Group Inc. (“KB Financial Group”), to declare an interim dividend of KRW 1 trillion, KB Financial Group disclosed on September 20, 2012 that, while KB Financial Group is reviewing various funding plans (including an interim dividend from Kookmin Bank) in connection with its business diversification strategy, no specific determination has been made as of such date.
