Change in the Largest Shareholder of KB Financial Group Inc.

On October 23, 2008, KB Financial Group Inc. (“KB Financial Group”) reported that, as of October 20, 2008, its largest shareholder has changed from the Korean National Pension Service (which holds 17,910,781 common shares, representing a 5.03% equity stake, as of September 29, 2008) to ING Bank N.V. (which holds 18,045,337 shares, representing a 5.06% equity stake, as of October 20, 2008).

The above report is based on a disclosure made by ING Bank N.V. on October 23, 2008, which detailed an increase in its holding of KB Financial Group common shares to 18,045,337 shares.
