9. Income Taxes

The provision for income increased $8.2 million during the three months ended March 31, 2022 compared to the three months ended March 31, 2021. The increase was primarily driven by current tax expense associated with our Peak subsidiary, namely driven by the appreciation of the U.S. Dollar compared to the Turkish Lira.
