Profit and cash distributions are allocated in accordance with each investor&amp;#39;s ownership percentage. The Company recorded its investment in Brownmill in accordance with the equity method of accounting. The purchase price reflected a discount of approximately $4.4 million to the outstanding principal balance. The Company&amp;#39;s share of the aggregate purchase price was approximately $1.5 million. Under the terms of the agreement, the Company received $3.0 million in total consideration, consisting of $0.6 million of cash and a $2.4 million unsecured 10.0% interest-bearing demand note (the "Lightstone REIT I Note") from Lightstone REIT I.
