Organization and Description of Business	Organization and Description of Business NGM Biopharmaceuticals, Inc. and its wholly-owned subsidiary, NGM Biopharmaceuticals Australia Pty Ltd., collectively referred to as the Company, is focused on discovering and developing novel therapeutics based on scientific understanding of key biological pathways underlying retinal diseases, cancer and liver and metabolic diseases. The Company’s robust portfolio of product candidates range from early discovery to late-stage development and include NGM621, NGM120, NGM707, NGM831, NGM438, MK-3655 and aldafermin. The Company has additional undisclosed programs that are in various stages of development ranging from functional validation to preclinical development. The Company was incorporated in Delaware in December 2007 and commenced operations in 2008. Its headquarters are located at 333 Oyster Point Blvd., South San Francisco, California 94080.
