On October 2, 2019, NanoString Technologies, Inc. (the “Company”) announced the appointment of Mark Winham as the Company’s new Senior Vice President, Operations. In connection with Mr. Winham’s appointment and effective October 2, 2019, the Company’s board of directors appointed Dr. Mary Tedd Allen, the Company’s former Senior Vice President, Operations, as the Company’s Senior Vice President, Strategic Initiatives. Dr. Allen previously announced that she would be retiring from the Company in April 2020. The compensatory and other material terms of Dr. Allen’s employment arrangement with the Company have not changed in connection with her transition to Senior Vice President, Strategic Initiatives.
