Common Stock and Additional-paid-in capital

        The increase in additional paid-in capital includes proceeds in excess of par value from exercises of stock options and stock-based compensation expenses recognized in the Company's earnings. In the six months ended June 30, 2012, the Company's former CEO exercised options to purchase 840,649 shares of common stock, for aggregate consideration of $4,615.
