Item 5.02    Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

On June 1, 2023, Mikel Williamson notified Home BancShares, Inc. (the “Company”) of his intention to resign as an executive officer of the Company and as Texas President of Happy State Bank, a division of the Company’s bank subsidiary, Centennial Bank. Mr. Williamson’s resignation will be effective June 14, 2023.
