Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

(b) On May 2, 2019, Federal Home Loan Bank of Topeka (FHLBank) Independent Director Donde L. Plowman informed FHLBank that as a result of the acceptance of the position of Chancellor of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, she will resign as an Independent Director of FHLBank, effective close of business on June 30, 2019. Under the rules of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, the Board of Directors of FHLBank is required to elect an individual to fill the unexpired term of office of Ms. Plowman’s directorship, which expires on December 31, 2020.
