Organization	1. Organization LHC Group, Inc. (the “Company”) is a health care provider specializing in the post-acute continuum of care primarily for Medicare beneficiaries. The Company provides home health services, hospice services, community-based services, and facility-based services, the latter primarily through long-term acute care hospitals ("LTACHs"). As of December 31, 2016, the Company, through its wholly and majority-owned subsidiaries, equity joint ventures and controlled affiliates, operated 372 service providers in 26 states within the continental United States.
