First Trust/abrdn Global Opportunity Income Fund (“FAM”) is filing herewith a press release issued on July 25, 2024, as Exhibit 99.1. The press release was issued by First Trust Advisors L.P. (“FTA”) announced today the results of the special meeting shareholders of First Trust/abrdn Global Opportunity Income Fund (NYSE: FAM) (the “Fund”) held on July 25, 2024. As previously announced, the reorganization was approved by the Board of Trustees of FAM on October 23, 2023. Subject to the satisfaction of certain customary closing conditions, the reorganization of FAM into abrdn Income Credit Strategies Fund (“ACP”). ACP is expected to close by September 30, 2024, or as soon as practicable thereafter. No assurance can be given as to the exact closing of the transaction.
