13. Employee Benefit Plan

The Company offers employees the opportunity to participate in a 401(k) plan. The Company recognized expense of approximately $0.3 million and $0.2 million for the years ended December 31, 2020 and 2019. The Company matches employee contributions up to 3% of each participating employee’s salary.
