Subsequent Events [Text Block]	21. Subsequent Events On March 24, 2013, the Company and each of its direct and indirect subsidiaries filed the Reorganization Cases under Bankruptcy Code in the Bankruptcy Court in order to effectuate the Plan. The Reorganization Cases are being jointly administered under the caption “In re Otelco Inc., et al., “ Case No 13-10593. During the pendency of the Reorganization Cases, the Company will continue to operate its business as a “debtor-in-possession” under the jurisdiction of the Bankruptcy Court and in accordance with the applicable provisions of the Bankruptcy Code and the orders of the Bankruptcy Court. There can be no assurance as to the timing for approval of the Plan or that the Plan will be confirmed.
