Prospect Energy Corporation Schedules Fourth Quarter and Fiscal Year 2005 Earnings Release and Conference Call

NEW YORK, NY -- 08/23/2005 -- Prospect Energy Corporation (NASDAQ: PSEC) (the "Company") announced today that it will report its fourth quarter and fiscal year results for the periods ended June 30, 2005 on Thursday, September 15, 2005 after the close of the financial markets.

The Company will host a conference call Friday, September 16, 2005, at 1:00 pm Eastern Time. The conference call dial-in number will be 1-877-407-8214.
