PENSION PLAN	9. PENSION PLAN The Company sponsors a noncontributory defined benefit pension plan covering some of the Company's employees who were employed by the Company prior to 1995. Benefits are provided based on employees' years of service and earnings. This plan was frozen on December 31, 1994. The total amount of the Company's contributions paid under its pension plan was zero for the three months ended March 31, 2014 and $0.3 million for the three months ended March 31, 2013. The net periodic benefit cost was $0.1 million and $0.3 million for the three months ended March 31, 2014 and 2013, respectively.
