     On October 30, 2008, Kenneth M. Schultz announced his intention to resign from First Solar, Inc. (“First Solar” or “the Company”) to pursue other interests. Mr. Schultz joined First Solar in November 2002 to lead the Company’s sales and marketing efforts, and since May 2008, he has been its Executive Vice President, Advanced Development. His resignation will be effective October 31, 2008.
