(b) On July 8, 2010, Carlie C. McLamb resigned from his position as director of New Century Bancorp (the “Registrant”). Mr. McLamb had served as a member of the Registrant’s board of directors since inception and is a founding member of the Registrant’s wholly-owned subsidiary, New Century Bank. His resignation from the board of directors was not related to any disagreement with the Registrant on any matter relating to the Registrant’s operations, policies, or practices.
