14. Subsequent Events

        The following events occurred subsequent to December 31, 2015 through the date the financial statements was available to be issued.

Public Offering of Common Stock

        In January 2016, the Company completed an underwritten public offering of 5,511,812 shares of its common stock at a public offering price of $6.35 per share. In February 2016, the underwriters of the public offering of common stock exercised in full their option to purchase an additional 826,771 shares of common stock at the public offering price of $6.35 per share, less underwriting discounts and commissions. A total of 6,338,583 shares of common stock were sold in the public offering resulting in total estimated net proceeds of approximately $37.3 million.
