Commitments and Contingencies Lease Commitments In June 2016, the Company entered into a noncancelable agreement to lease approximately 4,200 square feet of office and laboratory space in Boston, Massachusetts. The lease commenced in June 2016 and expired in April 2018. Rent during the term was $11,900 per month. Rent expense on noncancelable operating leases was $0 and $36 thousand for the three months ended September 30, 2018 and 2017, respectively and $37 and $107 thousand for the nine months ended September 30, 2018 and 2017, respectively. The Company has secured office space at a WeWork location in Boston on a 6-month lease term, which can potentially be extended. Rent expense for this location for the three and nine months ended September 30, 2018 was $21 thousand.
