On March 24, 2022, SPI Energy Co., Ltd. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that Phoenix Motor Inc., the Company’s wholly owned subsidiary, has appointed Mr. Lance Zhou, Ph.D., as Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of Phoenix Motor Inc., effective March 28, 2022. A copy of the press release is furnished as Exhibits 99.1 hereto.
