Tan Range Chairman Completes Seventeenth Tranche

Tan Range Exploration Corporation confirms that the seventeenth tranche of the private placement by James E. Sinclair, the Company's Chairman and CEO, announced on July 6, 2004 has now closed.  

Inclusive of the proceeds of the seventeenth tranche, Mr. Sinclair’s total share placements to date aggregate $3,075,000.  Mr. Sinclair’s investment reflects his continued confidence in and commitment to Tan Range’s endeavours.

The placement common shares are subject to certain mandated hold periods and resale restrictions and the certificates representing such shares are legended accordingly.

No warrants, options or other rights have been issued or granted in connection with this placement.
