Description of Business	Note 1. Description of Business HTG Molecular Diagnostics, Inc. (the “Company”) is a commercial stage company that develops and markets products and services based on proprietary technology that facilitates the routine use of targeted molecular profiling. The Company derives revenue from services provided by its VERI/O laboratory and sales of the Company’s automation systems and integrated next-generation sequencing-based HTG EdgeSeq assays. The Company operates in one segment and its customers are primarily located in the United States. For the three months ended March 31, 2017 and 2016, approximately 18% and 11%, respectively, of the Company’s revenue was generated from sales to customers located outside of the United States.
