Description of Business	Note 1. Description of Business HTG Molecular Diagnostics, Inc. (the “Company”) is a commercial stage company that developed and markets a novel technology platform to facilitate the routine use of complex molecular profiling. The Company’s HTG Edge platform, consisting of instrumentation, consumables and software analytics, is used in sample profiling applications including tumor profiling, molecular diagnostic testing and biomarker development. The Company’s HTG Edge platform automates the molecular profiling of genes and gene activity using its proprietary nuclease protection chemistry on a wide variety of biological samples. The Company derives revenue from the sale of instruments, consumables and related services. The Company operates in one segment and its customers are primarily located in the United States. For the three months ended March 31, 2015 and 2014, approximately 4% and 32%, respectively, of the Company’s revenue was generated from sales to customers located outside of the United States.
