Other Events.
 
On September 18, 2019, South Plains Financial, Inc. (the “Company”) announced the resignation of Kevin Bass, Chief Credit Officer of the Company and its banking subsidiary, City Bank (the “Bank”), effective as of September 16, 2019.  Mr. Bass’ resignation is not due to any disagreement with the Company on any matter relating to the Company’s operations, policies or practices.  A copy of the press release announcing Mr. Bass’ resignation is attached to this Current Report on Form 8-K as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
 
On September 16, 2019, Cory Newsom, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Bank, appointed Robert Kotarski, current Market President for City Bank in El Paso, as the interim Chief Credit Officer of the Bank, effective upon Mr. Bass’ resignation.
