(?Aptafin?) instructed its securities broker to exercise 500 SciClone call options, strike price $2.50, expiring September 15, 2006 (the "Call Options") on its behalf. On that day, the securities broker mistakenly sold the Call Options and on the following day it purchased 50,000 shares of SciClone common stock in the open market on behalf of Aptafin in order to achieve the economic effect of the exercise. On June 15, 2006, Aptafin filed a Form 4 reporting these two transactions. The sale of the Call Options was subsequently rescinded by the securities broker through its error account and the Call Options have been returned to Aptafin. As a result, as of June 26, 2006, Aptafin still owns the Call Options. This Form 4 is filed to amend the Form 4 filed on June 15, 2006 to reflect the fact that Aptafin still owns the Call Options. The error has not affected any subsequent report. Call options are owned directly by Aptafin.
