6.	Income Taxes

The effective tax rate (“ETR”) for the three months ended September 30, 2020 and 2019 was 18.8% and 20.1%, respectively, and the ETR for the nine months ended September 30, 2020 and 2019 was 27.7% and 21.2%, respectively. For the three months and nine months ended September 30, 2020, the ETR increase was primarily related to a net operating loss carryback at higher federal rates.
