Item 1.01 Entry into a Material Definitive Agreement.

On April 28, 2022, Aspen Aerogels, Inc. (the “Company”) entered into a fourth amendment (the “SVB Amendment”) to the Second Amended and Restated Loan and Security Agreement with Silicon Valley Bank, dated as of March 12, 2021, as amended, to extend the maturity date to June 27, 2022, among other things.

The summary of the SVB Amendment is qualified in its entirety by reference to the full text of the SVB Amendment, a copy of which will be attached as an exhibit to the Company’s quarterly report on Form 10-Q for the quarter ending March 31, 2022.
