Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

Jeffrey Ball, Vice President, Operations, notified Aspen Aerogels, Inc. (“Company”) of his intention to resign his position with the Company. On September 11, 2019, the Company and Mr. Ball agreed on a resignation date of September 27, 2019 and that Mr. Ball will continue to consult with and advise the Company for a period of time on specific tasks.
