Organization and Basis of Presentation	Organization and Basis of Presentation Nature of Business Cross Country Healthcare, Inc. (the Company) was incorporated in Delaware on July 29, 1999 as a business providing travel nurse and allied health staffing services. As of December 31, 2020, the Company provides total talent management services, including strategic workforce solutions, contingent staffing, permanent placement and other consultative services for healthcare clients. The Company recruits and places qualified healthcare professionals in virtually every specialty and area of expertise. Its diverse client base includes both clinical and nonclinical settings, servicing both public and private acute care and non-acute care hospitals, outpatient clinics, ambulatory-care centers, single and multi-specialty physician practices, urgent care centers, both public schools and charter schools, rehabilitation and sports medicine clinics, correctional facilities, government facilities, and many other healthcare providers. The consolidated financial statements include the accounts of the Company and its direct and indirect wholly-owned subsidiaries. The consolidated financial statements include all assets, liabilities, revenue, and expenses of Cross Country Talent Acquisition Group, LLC, which is controlled by the Company but not wholly owned. The Company records the ownership interest of the noncontrolling shareholder as noncontrolling interest in subsidiary. Effective December 31, 2020, the sole professional staffing services agreement held by this joint venture was terminated. The Company expects to dissolve Cross Country Talent Acquisition Group, LLC in the first quarter of 2021. All intercompany transactions and balances have been eliminated in consolidation. Certain prior year amounts have been reclassified to conform to the current year presentation.
