Item 8.01. Other Events.

 

On April 8, 2010, Wayne Wu tendered his resignation as Chairperson of the Board of Directors (the “Board”) of Accuray Incorporated (the “Company”), though he will continue to serve as a member of the Board.  Mr. Wu has served as a member of the Board since 1998 and as Chairperson since 2004.

 

Following Mr. Wu’s resignation, the Board appointed Louis J. Lavigne, Jr., a member of the Board since September 2009, to serve as Chairperson of the Board.  Mr. Lavigne’s term expires in 2011.
