Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure.

     On October 11, 2007, Zimmer Holdings, Inc. disclosed that the Company received a letter from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission informing the Company that it is conducting an informal investigation regarding potential violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act in the sale of medical devices in a number of foreign countries by companies in the medical devices industry. The Company understands that other medical device companies received similar letters. The Company intends to fully cooperate with this informal investigation.
