Note 7. Segment Information

 

The Company operates in one business segment, which primarily focuses on the development and global commercialization of genomic based clinical laboratory services that analyze the underlying biology of cancer, allowing physicians and patients to make individualized treatment decisions. The Company’s Oncotype DX breast, colon and prostate cancer tests have similar economic and other characteristics, including the nature of the products and production processes, type of customers, distribution methods and regulatory environment. As of September 30, 2017, the majority of the Company’s product revenues have been derived from sales of one product, the Oncotype DX breast cancer test.
