Renovis Announces Pricing of Public Offering of Common Stock

South San Francisco, California, September 23, 2005 — Renovis, Inc. (Nasdaq: RNVS) today announced the pricing of its public offering of 4,000,000 shares of common stock at $13.50 per share. All of the shares are being offered by Renovis. The company has granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 600,000 shares of common stock to cover over-allotments, if any. The offering is expected to close on September 28, 2005.

Goldman, Sachs & Co. is acting as the sole book-running manager of the offering. CIBC World Markets Corp., Piper Jaffray & Co. and SG Cowen & Co., LLC are co-managers of the offering.

These shares are being issued pursuant to an effective shelf registration statement.
