5. INVENTORIES

Inventories consist of work-in-process and finished goods and are stated at the lower of cost or net realizable value using the first-in, first-out (FIFO) method as a cost flow convention or through the moving average cost method. At March 31, 2022 and December 31, 2021, inventory by category is valued net of reserves and consists of:
