Item 7.01.

Regulation FD Disclosure

On April 5, 2007, Frontier Oil Corporation (“Frontier”) announced that it has entered into an approximately $45.0 million fixed-price construction contract with an affiliate of CB&I to engineer, construct and install two new coke drums and related equipment at Frontier’s El Dorado, Kansas refinery. This contract, plus expected add-ons, is projected to cover approximately 85% of the $58 million project scope. Completion is anticipated in April 2008.

A copy of the press release, dated April 5, 2007, is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this Form 8-K pursuant to Regulation FD. Accordingly, the information in Item 7.01 of this report will not be incorporated by reference into any registration statement filed by Frontier under the Securities Act of 1933, unless specifically identified therein as being incorporated therein by reference.
