Subsequent Events Common Stock Repurchase Authorization On July 31, 2019, MetLife, Inc. announced that its Board of Directors authorized an additional $2.0 billion of common stock repurchases. Common Stock Dividend On July 8, 2019, the MetLife, Inc. Board of Directors declared a third quarter 2019 common stock dividend of $0.44 per share payable on September 13, 2019 to shareholders of record as of August 6, 2019. The Company estimates that the aggregate dividend payment will be $413 million.
