Subsequent Event	16. Subsequent Event Common Stock Dividend On October 25, 2016, the MetLife, Inc. Board of Directors declared a fourth quarter 2016 common stock dividend of $0.40 per share payable on December 13, 2016 to shareholders of record as of November 7, 2016. The Company estimates that the aggregate dividend payment will be $441 million.
