William Lyon Team Members,

It was so good to see you this week for the Taylor Morrison + William Lyon Homes Roadshow. I know I speak for Bill, Matt and the other members of our TM Executive Leadership Team when I say we had a tremendous time visiting you and sharing a little more about why we believe William Lyon Homes and Taylor Morrison were destined to come together.

Half-way through our travels we learned some exciting news that I hope speaks to the culture we care deeply about and spent a great deal of time discussing. Taylor Morrison was honored with a Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Award, recognizing the ‘Best Places to Work’ for 2020. TM ranked #42 out of the Top 100, and was the only homebuilder on the list alongside major companies like HubSpot (#1), Southwest Airlines (#10) and LinkedIn (#12). It fills my heart knowing the award was based on anonymous team member feedback, with criteria ranging from culture and values, to team member benefits and work-life balance. And, truthfully, this award couldn’t come at a better time. Big changes are never easy, but I hope knowing William Lyon Homes is heading into an organization recognized as a workplace of choice makes the transition a little easier.

One of the biggest reasons for traveling to all the William Lyon Homes divisions was to make sure we could answer your questions face-to-face. And we want this to continue, even if only virtually. If anything surrounding the acquisition comes to mind that you’d like to learn more about, please send it to AskUsAnything@taylormorrison.com, and someone on the Integration Management Office (IMO) will get back to you.

As we shared during our time together, before the end of the year we’ll communicate the next layer of the future combined organization’s structure and announce the Division Presidents next week, so please stay tuned. Then, we’ll immediately turn to working through our structure by appointing our Operating teams at the VP level over the next few weeks.

Thank you for your time and consideration this week—especially during the busiest time of year in our industry—and for stepping outside of the business for us to have a candid conversation about the future. We so appreciate it.

Happy Holidays!

Warmly,

Sheryl Palmer
