On September 30, 2009, Metro Bancorp, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing the closing of its previously announced underwritten public offering of 6,250,000 shares of its common stock at a public offering price of $12.00 per share.  A copy of the Company’s press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
