On November 7, 2003, WPS Resources and Wisconsin Public Service reported that a definitive agreement was signed to sell the jointly owned Kewaunee Nuclear Power Plant to Dominion Energy Kewaunee, Inc., a subsidiary of Dominion Resources, Inc.
