Organization	OrganizationDiversified Healthcare Trust (formerly known as Senior Housing Properties Trust) is a real estate investment trust, or REIT, organized under Maryland law, which owns medical office and life science properties, senior living communities and other healthcare related properties throughout the United States. As of December 31, 2019, we owned 424 properties located in 39 states and Washington, D.C. On that date the gross book value of our real estate assets at cost plus certain acquisition costs, before depreciation and purchase price allocations and less impairment write downs, was $8,420,623.
