RIM CFO TO PRESENT AT UBS GLOBAL COMMUNICATIONS CONFERENCE

Waterloo, Canada – Dennis Kavelman, Chief Financial Officer at Research In Motion (RIM) (Nasdaq: RIMM; TSX: RIM), will present at the UBS Global Communications Conference in New York City on Wednesday, November 17, 2004.
