     On November 9, 2004, management of MetroCorp Bancshares, Inc. (the “Company”) presented information regarding the Company’s business to investors at the Hoefer & Arnett 2004 Asian Banking Conference and to other investors and intends to present the same information to various other members of the investment community on November 10, 2004.
