TIMBERLAND ACQUISITIONS	NOTE 15: TIMBERLAND ACQUISITIONS On July 19, 2023, we completed the purchase of 22 thousand acres of Mississippi timberlands for approximately $60 million. On May 18, 2022, we completed the purchase of 81 thousand acres of North and South Carolina timberlands for approximately $265 million. We recorded $263 million of timberland assets in “Timber and timberlands at cost, less depletion” and $2 million of related assets in “Property and equipment, net” on our Consolidated Balance Sheet.

The entire disclosure for business combinations, including leverage buyout transactions (as applicable), and divestitures. This may include a description of a business combination or divestiture (or series of individually immaterial business combinations or divestitures) completed during the period, including background, timing, and assets and liabilities recognized and reclassified or sold. This element does not include fixed asset sales and plant closings.
